Hello, my name is Bob, and I've been a fisherman for 35 yrs. Sounds like an intro. for a twelve step program doesn't it? They think we fishermen are addicted, sick, and twisted. Who else would stand shivering in the rain, feet wet, hands aching, making one more cast for a one in 10,000 chance at a Musky? (Get it? The fish of 10,000 casts) Yeah, I have a problem, but they say admitting it is the first step.

Anyway, about 10 yrs ago my friend Dave Wamboldt and I met while working together at Pike Creek Outfitters. Mike and Barb Hines, the owners were ready to retire, do some traveling, and start enjoying life instead of getting up in the dark as they both did for many years. I learned a great deal from them and they always treated me like family, and still do.

What you will find here is people who know what they're talking about, and everything you need for Lake Michigan. Dave is the Perch Guru. He even pours his own worms, we call them the "Wammer Slammers". I would be up the creek, to put it politely, without Dave. Did I mention he's got way more experience than me because he's way older? That's funny, I mention it to him all the time.

Thanks, Bob

fishin' report 9-20-11

THEY'RE HERE. Kings and Browns are now in the harbor and as of yesterday's opening of the creek by the city, in the Pike as well. This last weekend was a slaughterfest. Even rookies were catching fish. Today would be a good day to hit the creek if that is where you prefer to fish. The harbor was and is still very good. Top producers were spawn, Oslo spinners, Moonshine Spoons, and the longtime favorite 3/4 oz. Little Cleo in blue/silver, green/silver, and gold/orange. My Oslo supply is sparse, and the Cleos should be in toward the end of the week. It is impossible to keep the hot lure in the store right now. That about covers it-get out there and get yours.

Dave is heading to Delavan today, and our friend Leroy Linton is going to try to get to Geneva some time this week. I'll let you know how they do. Leroy has been very happy with Geneva the last 6wks. and has given up on Delavan. Because as we've talked about, the constant hammering of Delavan has resulted in smaller fish. Leroy is consistently getting 9's and often 10's on Geneva. That size equals a very powerful Bluegill. (in case you didn't already know that)--Later, Bob
